SAMI Membership

South Australian Murray Irrigators Inc. (SAMI) is a privately funded membership-based not-for-profit representative association which exists to support irrigators the length of the River Murray from the South Australian border to the Coorong & Murray mouth.

 

SAMI currently has 140 members, including both private and trust irrigators, and represents over 1000 South Australian River Murray irrigators holding 97,000 ML of River Murray water.

 

Joining SAMI is easy. Voluntary membership subscription forms are sent out to irrigators annually or you can contact the SAMI office for a membership form any time.

SAMI is a not-for-profit, member-based organisation relying on passionate volunteers and voluntary membership contributions.There are a few ways you can get involved with SAMI and improve the prospects for all irrigating farmers;

  • Join SAMI and become an active, participating, financial member.

  • Attend meetings.

  • Share your views in SAMI surveys.

  • Donate time and/or money to SAMI.

  • Actively work to improve the efficiency of your on-farm irrigation practices (and tell people about it).

  • Positively promote the valuable work done by SAMI to colleagues and friends.

  • Represent SAMI at regional Field Days.

  • Volunteer as a Committee Member.

  • Become a SAMI Affiliate.

Are you an irrigating farmer willing and able to step and represent your industry? How about nominating for a position on the SAMI Committee.

 

To be a member of the SAMI Committee, you will need to be a SAMI member and be willing to use your personal skills and networks to help SAMI fulfil its’ essential role as peak representative body speaking on behalf of South Australian irrigating farmers.
